Road access is possible but not barrier-free; uneven terrain, reserve tracks, and monsoon conditions limit accessibility.
Chandoli National Park protects a high-rainfall stretch of the northern Western Ghats in Maharashtra, linking evergreen slopes, lateritic plateaus, valley streams, and the backwaters of the Warna basin. It forms the northern section of Sahyadri Tiger Reserve and is best experienced as a forest-and-landscape destination rather than a high-volume safari park.

Pune and Kolhapur are the most practical airports for onward road travel into the Sahyadri ranges.
Karad, Kolhapur, and Sangli are useful railheads depending on the chosen approach road.
Approach roads come from western Maharashtra through hill villages, reserve entry points, and the Warna basin side of the park.
Use private vehicles or hired drivers familiar with ghat roads, reserve check posts, and changing monsoon conditions.
Semi-evergreen and evergreen forest, moist deciduous patches, grassland openings, plateau vegetation, and dense monsoon stream corridors.
Chandoli supports large mammals, smaller carnivores, reptiles, amphibians, and Western Ghats birdlife across the wider Sahyadri Tiger Reserve ecosystem.
Chandoli became a national park in 2004 after earlier sanctuary protection, strengthening conservation of a Western Ghats landscape that later formed part of Sahyadri Tiger Reserve.
