Basic Information

About This Park

Gorumara National Park sits in the Dooars of north Bengal, where riverine grassland, sal forest, and floodplains create habitat for one-horned rhinoceros, gaur, elephants, deer, and a wide variety of birds. The park is smaller than some of India's headline reserves, but its compact shape, multiple watchtowers, and accessible tourism bases such as Lataguri make it one of the most practical wildlife destinations in the eastern Himalayan foothills.
