Use current Loktak-side visitor guidance because access and wetland-viewing arrangements can change with habitat and water conditions.
Road access from Imphal is manageable, but wetland terrain and viewpoint-specific movement limit barrier-free access.
Keibul Lamjao National Park is celebrated as the world's only floating national park because much of its habitat rests on phumdi, the floating biomass and soil mats of Loktak Lake. This wetland mosaic is crucial for the sangai, Manipur's iconic brow-antlered deer, and makes the park one of India's most distinctive conservation landscapes.
