Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh's Sheopur district protects dry deciduous forest, open grasslands, ravines, and the Kuno River valley. Long prepared as a potential second home for Asiatic lions, the park became globally known after the launch of India's cheetah reintroduction program. Beyond cheetahs, Kuno supports leopards, wolves, hyenas, chinkara, nilgai, and a rich dryland bird community.
