There is no standard public online booking portal for Pampadum Shola. Confirm access, trekking permission, and seasonal restrictions with the Munnar wildlife division before travel.
This is a planned nature outing rather than a high-facility destination. Long hill drives, cool wet weather, and limited infrastructure reduce ease of access for many travelers.
Pampadum Shola National Park is among India's smallest national parks, but its ecological value is far larger than its size suggests. Set in the upper reaches of Kerala's Vattavada-Munnar high ranges, it protects a rare remnant of shola forest and high-altitude biodiversity. The park is especially significant because many small shola fragments together sustain water sources, endemic plants, insects, birds, and mammals across the Western Ghats uplands.

Despite its size, Pampadum Shola supports montane mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, butterflies, and invertebrates linked to the high-range forest system.
Pampadum Shola was notified as a national park in 2003 to preserve one of the remaining tiny but crucial shola forest fragments of Kerala's upper high ranges.
