Arrange permits, guides, homestays, and winter tracking support through Spiti/Himachal contacts; this is a walking and high-altitude park, not an online safari booking destination.
This is a difficult high-altitude park. Road access is seasonal, medical support is distant, and most experiences require walking on rough terrain above 3,500 m.
Pin Valley National Park protects a dramatic cold desert landscape in Spiti and adjoining high Himalayan valleys. It lies above the treeline in the Cold Desert Biosphere Reserve and is known for snow leopard habitat, Siberian ibex, bharal, red fox, Himalayan birds, monasteries, and village-linked trekking.

| Winter Snow Leopard Season (Jan - Mar) | Guided daylight tracking | Return before dark |

Bhuntar/Kullu is a distant gateway; road travel to Spiti remains long and seasonal.
Shimla and Chandigarh are practical railheads for onward road travel.
Access is usually via Kaza and Pin Valley villages from the Manali-Kaza or Shimla-Kinnaur-Kaza routes, depending on season.
Use local taxis from Kaza to Mudh and Pin Valley villages, then walk approved trails with local guidance.
Sparse cold desert vegetation, alpine pastures, cushion plants, juniper, birch and poplar patches in sheltered areas, and high-altitude herbs.
The park supports snow leopards, ibex, blue sheep, foxes, pikas, marmots, raptors, and cold desert birds adapted to high Himalayan conditions.
Pin Valley was declared a national park in 1987 to protect cold desert biodiversity and high-altitude wildlife habitat in Spiti.
